Scope and Topics
ValueTools 2023 solicits original papers that propose new methodologies and tools for the performance evaluation and optimization of complex systems. It brings together researchers from different communities including Computer Science, Networks and Telecommunications, Operations Research, Optimization, Control Theory and Manufacturing. ValueTools 2023 welcomes regular submission papers describing novel results, as well as short papers on vision work, work-in-progress, and tools.

Publication
All accepted papers will be published in the Springer LNICST series and made available through the SpringerLink Digital Library (indexed by Scopus, ACM Digital Library, dblp, Google Scholar).

Fast-tracking of Journal Extensions
The conference best papers will be considered for a submission of extended versions to the Elsevier Performance Evaluation journal.
Paper Submission
ValueTools 2023 accepts submissions in four categories:
– Regular research papers, up to 14 pages in length (excluding references).
– Work-in-progress papers on early results, up to 7 pages in length (excluding references).
– Tools experience papers describing tools for performance evaluation of complex systems, up to 7 pages in length (excluding references).
– Vision papers on new, disruptive ideas (supported, if possible, by empirical evidence and measurements) that differ from prior published work, up to 7 pages in length (excluding references).
All submitted papers must be unpublished and not be submitted for publication elsewhere.

- We recommend using the ACM_SigConf format. See the templates here.
- Please be sure to use the correct Category and Subject Descriptor in your paper. See the above guidelines for instructions and visit http://www.acm.org/about/class/2012 for more information.
- For invited papers, please add the line “”(Invited Paper)”” after the title of your paper.
- Your paper must be submitted in PDF format. A PDF creator can be downloaded for Windows here.
- Failure to meet the formatting guidelines set by ACM, could result in your paper not being included in the ACM Digital Library.
- Please note that you will see this box at the bottom of the first page. This must remain in this location on your paper ie. at the bottom of the left column. This is the ACM copyright and document/conference identification.
